Kailash Mansarovar Tour

11 Days

Description

Mount Kailash Mansarovar Tour (6714m) is one of the most revered spiritual journeys in the world. Situated in the remote Himalayas of Tibet, this holy mountain is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva and is revered by millions across faiths.

It serves as the source of four major Asian rivers: the Indus, Brahmaputra, Karnali, and Sutlej. To every pilgrim, Kailash speaks in its own divine language.

  • Hindus undertake this yatra to circumambulate the peak — Shiva’s throne — and bathe in the sacred waters of Mansarovar, the lake born from the mind (Manas) of Lord Brahma.
  • Buddhists call it Kang Rinpoche (Precious Snow Mountain) and journey from across Asia to seek blessings.
  • Jains know it as Mount Ashtapada.
  • Bonpo followers (pre-Buddhist Tibetan tradition) regard it as the “Nine-Storey Swastika Mountain,” the soul of the region.

Most pilgrims (Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain) perform the Kora (circumambulation) in a clockwise direction. Bonpo followers traditionally walk in the opposite direction. As you follow the sacred trail around Mount Kailash, you will encounter devotees from different traditions sharing the same path of faith and devotion.

Travelling to Mount Kailash and holy Mansarovar lake requires special documentation due to its location, i.e., the Tibet Autonomous Region (China). Individual Traveller is not allowed; so you must join a group tour through a licensed operator like Corsa Nepal Adventure. We cover all the hidden visas, permits and other documentation, making your spiritual Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026 memorable.
